Admissions Application Process
We accept applications for admission throughout the school year. We are accepting new enrollments for grades 8 to 10 only at present. The steps below outline the applications for the admission process.

- DISK does NOT employ an SEN specialist and the school CANNOT consider applicants with learning difficulties needing special accommodations.
- The earliest date of enrollment is based on the date of application.
- DISK will close in 2029 when all enrolled students have left the school. New students will continue to be admitted but only into existing grade-level classes except grades 11 and 12.
Step 1: Request an Admissions Application Pack
To request an admissions application information pack, please email [email protected].
Step 2: Complete the Admissions Application Pack
Complete the admissions application pack and scan each form in preparation for submission, which includes:
- An application for admissions form
- A special educational need(s) disclosure form
- A medical disclosure form
- A references form
Step 3: Prepare Identification
Prepare a scanned copy of the following identification in preparation for submission.
- The information page of your child's passport. If your child does not have a passport, please let us know.
Step 4: Prepare Additional Documentation
Prepare a scanned copy of the following additional documentation in preparation for submission.
- Your child's academic transcript(s) (school reports) from the last two years in English.
- Your child's current school enrolment certificate.
Step 5: Application(s) Submission
Email all scanned admissions application pack forms, identification, and additional documentation from steps 2, 3, and 4 for each child to [email protected].
Step 6: Application(s) Review
Once your submission has been checked and approved you will receive an email with details about the entrance test fee payment.

- If your submission is not approved you will receive an email confirming that your application has been unsuccessful. Your application pack forms, identification, and additional documentation will be not be returned.
Step 7: Entrance Test Fee Payment
Applicants are requested to pay the entrance test fee, in Japanese yen, before the testing date. A non-refundable amount of 20,000 yen per child is required. Please ensure you pay the remittance /transfer fee so that exactly 20,000 yen is received. Please write reference number 301 in the sender space on the bank transfer form.
Step 8: Entrance Test & Interview
DISK's entrance test and interview take approximately 4-5 hours and take place in-person on campus. *We do not offer an online remote testing option.
All applicants are required to take a language and math test. Sometimes a creative writing assessment is to gauge English proficiency. Non-native English speakers must be able to read, speak and write English.

Step 9: Admissions Panel Decision
The admissions panel will inform you of their final decision by email.
Step 10: Registration Fee Payment
A one-time non-refundable registration fee payment of 250,000 yen per child by bank transfer is required to enroll within seven days of notification of admission. Ensure you pay the remittance/transfer fee so that exactly 250,000 yen is received. Please write reference number 302 in the sender space on the bank transfer form.
