Science

Science in middle school  follows a carefully structured sequence of topics that prepares students for the IB Diploma Program (IBDP). The curriculum is diverse and features exposure to biology, chemistry, physics, and environmental science topics in each year of the five year program. Use of the scientific method, research, technical writing, and laboratory skills are built into each course to give students the tools they need.

The grade 6 to 10 Science program uses a criteria-referenced assessment framework and an inquiry-driven approach to the subject. The course emphasizes knowledge and understanding of skills and concepts, inquiry and experimental design, processing and evaluating information, communication, and reflecting on the impacts of science in our world.
