The DISK Library is a vibrant hub for literacy, research, and learning. It fosters a love of reading, supports academic growth, and serves as a social and intellectual center for the entire school community.
Our library provides a wide range of books, and other resources to support teaching and learning, promoting a culture of reading and information literacy. We aim to inspire independent, lifelong learners and readers through easy access to knowledge and resources.
Students are issued a library card to check out books and resources, including newspapers and magazines. Our dedicated library staff are always happy to assist in finding books, offering reading recommendations, and guiding research. Students can also search the library catalog using on-site computer terminals or through the DIA Library Page.

Loan Limits & Duration:
Borrowing Rules:
- Grades ~10 - 5 English and 5 Japanese books for 14 days.
- Grades 11~12 - 10 English and 10 Japanese books for 14 days.
- Faculty & Staff - 50 books in English and Japanese for 8 weeks.
Borrowing Rules:
- Use Your Own Library Card - Students and faculty must use their own library card to check out books.
- No Borrowing for Others - Faculty may not check out books on behalf of students.
- Overdue Books - You cannot borrow new books if you have one overdue book.
- Lost or Damaged Books - If a book is lost or damaged, a replacement copy with the same ISBN must be provided.

- No Food or Drinks - Do not bring food or drinks into the library.
- Wear Slippers - Take off your shoes and put on slippers before entering the library.
- Walk, Don’t Run - Always walk inside the library—no running.
- Keep Quiet - Speak softly to maintain a quiet environment for everyone.
- Borrowing Popular Books -Books with white stickers on the spine are popular books. You can borrow only one white-stickered book at a time.

- Students can search for books and resources via the DIA Library Page by scanning the QR code provided.

- The library employs the Nippon Decimal Classification System to simplify the process of locating books and other resources.
Overdue Notices and Returns
Terms:
- Overdue Notices - Library staff will notify the DISK Director of any overdue books. The DISK administration will contact the student, their family, or faculty member as needed.
- Returning Books - Books can be returned directly to the library and may be renewed upon request.
- Lost/Damaged Books -The person responsible must provide a new copy with the same ISBN if a book is lost or damaged.
